The Business Situation
The Client had a network of over 100 training centres in India offering training to students who aspire for a career in the BPO industry. In order to further expand its presence in India and internationally, the Client was looking for assistance in raising funds from Private Equity/Venture Capital Investor.
Our Role
The Assignment was divided in two phases:
- The first phase involved preparatory work before approaching potential investors. This included assisting the Client in finalizing its business plan and financial model based on which a brief teaser and a detailed Information Memorandum were prepared.
- The second phase involved identifying, short-listing and approaching potential investors from the Private Equity and Venture Capitalists in PKC’s network. Client’s meetings and calls were arranged with interested players to present the investment opportunity. PKC assisted the Client in handling queries from potential investors, discussion on valuations and negotiating with the potential investors. Finally, we advised the Client in negotiating key commercial and financial terms in term sheets provided by the potential investors.

The Client was successful in raising funds from one of the leading Venture Capital players in India.
